ASK AARON - March 2004 Answer

“Most people think that you have to have that Abercrombie & Fitch look to become a model. Not so. You don't have to be tall, thin, and beautiful to see yourself in newspaper, catalogue, poster or billboard ads. Companies want "real" looking people as their commercial models. This book has all the information from Head Shots, Resumes, Composite Sheets to Make-up and finding a good agent.”

From Rico, IL

I am 36 years old and am thinking about becoming an actor. Am I too old to get started and make a living in this field?

Dear Rico:

I would not be thinking about making a living as an actor at this point. You might want to start off part – time and see what happens. You live in a good market, so check things out and see if you are getting a lot of work. You also have to make sure you can handle the uncertainties of being a self-employed actor.
