ASK AARON - October 2004 Answer

“I just wanted to thank you for speaking with us. I learned so much that I didn't know and now feel like I can really assist my daughter. You are a wonderful speaker, and a fun one. Thanks again for the great information.”

From Jenny, ID

I am about to have my first photo session. My agent tells me I should get commercial photos (since I am not tall enough for fashion). How do I do this?

Dear Jenny:

Every photo you take should look like an ad. Don’t make the mistake of doing what most people do and just stand in front of a camera and have pretty pictures taken of themselves. Generally those types of pictures get thrown away by agents and photographers. The way to get an agent’s and photographers’ attention is by showing them photos that tell a story. You can get wonderful ideas for photos by studying ads in magazines that are right for you.

I spend 26 pages in my book devoted exclusively to teaching people the ingredients and formulas for creating powerful head shots and photos for their composite sheet.
