ASK AARON - June 2005 Answer

“"How to Become a Successful Commercial Model" is a great tool for those of us getting started and for the experienced model. It is the "model's bible". Your helpful tips and suggestions has prepared me for any situation that arises. I intend to keep it with my portfolio for a handy reference. Thank you again.”

From Alan, UT

How many agents/agencies can represent you at one time and what is the real role of an agent and a manager?

Dear Alan:

As long as you do not have any exclusive contracts, you can work with as many agents as desired. I currently have 125.

The short version to the second part of your question is:

A manager helps guide your career, connects you to agents, figures out which roles are right for you, etc. An agent submits you for jobs and negotiates on your behalf.

You can read more about these people, and how to find agents and managers by reading my book, "How to Become a Successful Commercial Model". You can read 2 chapters free and order the book from this site.
