ASK AARON - November 2005 Answer

“The models I hire over and over again are the ones who know how to give me a wide range of looks, expressions, project the appropriate feelings on demand, and know exactly what to do on the set. I have never seen a book that gives such insights, behind the scenes and practical information, and written in such an honest way, with integrity and passion. Give yourself your greatest chance for success. Read this book.”

From Dale, FL

I want to look into getting bookings in the health and fitness industry. How do I market myself to these types of publications?

Dear Dale:

I would contact some of the magazines you are interested in shooting with, and ask them which ad agency they use for their editorial work. Then call the ad agency and ask the art or creative director which modeling agency they primarily use when booking models. You can find the magazine contact information by going to a library and reading the index of the magazine. Dale, if they magazine has their own art/creative director, then just ask them for the names of agents they use when booking models.

In my book, How to Become a Successful Commercial Model, you will learn more ways to market yourself and even get bookings on your own.
