"Ask Aaron" - December 2007 Answer

I have now read this book 5 times in the last 10 days! I have never been more excited and enthused about this industry since I can remember. Although I have done a number of commercials, and some print work, I have missed out on jobs that I should have won. I now feel after reading this book, I will be much more effective at my auditions and marketing my portfolio. Whether you are just beginning, or a 20 year veteran, this book is a must read for commercial actors and print models! I would strongly recommend to everyone pursuing the acting and modeling field to read Aaron’s book! There is not an easier read on the shelves today than "How To Become A Successful Commercial Model." This book will take all the mystery out of this industry and supply you hundreds of ideas on how to further your carrier!”

From Jared, CT

I have sent out my resume and headshot out to 3 agencies and the response I get is we have put your resume and headshot on file for a period of one year. As opportunities arise we will contact you. My question is should I keep sending postcards every month so they know that I am still interested or sooner than that?

Dear Jared:

You definitely want to stay in touch with these people. I would not just sit back and wait for the phone to ring. You might want to call the agencies and see if they have open calls. That is where they see new people. That way you can make a personal connection with the agents. You can ask if they believe your head shot will market you well, or if you need different photos.

My book will teach you the best way to get started, find agents and photographers, get photos taken free, even market yourself and get work on your own.
