"Ask Aaron" - February 2008 Answer

“"Wow"...that is exactly how we felt when we left your Acting/Modeling Boot Camp in Chicago. Michelle (my daughter) and I have learned so much from you, and your guest speakers. We have found that your book is loaded with valuable information that can be used over and over again. Michelle can't put down your book. Your homework assignment is currently being worked on by my daughter. Thank you again so much for offering your "Boot Camp." We enjoyed it very much. If you ever have the Boot Camp in our area again, we would love to attend.

From Cathy, NH

I am aspiring to do high fashion modeling, but it's so hard to get top notch photographs and agents because I live in Vermont. I can't afford to fly back and forth to New York. What should I do?

Dear Cathy:

At this point, you don’t have to go anywhere. In fashion, you do need to be between 5’9-6’0, have these measurements, 34 bust, 24 waist, and 34 hips. If that is the case, then simply send some snapshots of yourself to fashion agents. They will need a full body shot (2-piece bathing suit), and a close up of your face, from the chest up. Don’t wear makeup, and make sure your hair is not covering your face. If they are interested, they will contact you. If you don’t have those stats but still want to model, then read my book, How to Become a Successful Commercial Model, and you will learn how to get work on a local level as well as in larger markets.

Best wishes. Aaron Marcus
