"Ask Aaron" - May 2008 Answer

“I found your Boot Camp to be very informative. The camp provided real answers and facts about the acting and modeling business that I doubt I could find anywhere else. One of the best parts was hearing and learning from a professional agent and casting director. I'm sure that others found the camp to be meaningful as well. You should keep conducting it.”

From Renny, MA

I just finished reading your book, and found it incredibly helpful. I'm especially interested in your advice about asking high school or college photography students about test shots for a comp card. What is the best method to go about this; how does one ask?

Dear Renny:

Glad you enjoyed the book.

Contact the art department at a local college. Ask if there are photography classes. If so, talk with the instructor and explain to him/her that you are looking for a student who is interested n creating strong commercial photos for his/her portfolio. The instructor can then ask for you, and hopefully you will find someone that way. I know people who have gotten entire portfolios from sessions with students at absolutely no cost.
